This beautiful onsie has been hand knit using a vintage pattern, from our own hand spun merino yarn. The yarn was created with hand spun merino fleece on my heritage spinning wheel and hand painted with eco friendly dyes.
shoulder straps cross at the back and button with 2 vintage blue buttons, with two options for sizing. Ribbed legs help to ensure fewer 'spills' if using this onsie as a wool soaker. If using this piece as a soaker, it will need to be treated with lanolin.
"Merino" is a variety of heritage sheep breeds that offers wonderfully soft fiber. It's yarns can be used in a variety of applications including all manner of baby items, intimate garments and next to the skin items.
Merino sheep have come to the forefront of the commercial wool industry. This fiber comes from a small farm and cruelty free. Purchasing hand spun fibers and items made from these fibers, aides in the preservation of rare or endangered breeds.

To wash this onsie, use a gentle soap or our hand made organic wool wash - great for wool, linen and silk. It must be hand washed in luke warm water and left flat to dry. If washed incorrectly, the fibers, texture or the scarf itself may be effected.
