Black work cotton tea towel kit, pattern and yarn, 4shaft loom

$60.00

When I first started my journey into weaving, I already had a background in museology and the study of heritage textiles. It made sense then, that most of my weaving and patterns are influenced by patterns and styles of antiquity.

Blackwork embroidery (counted blackwork or Spanish blackwork) was practised in the medieval period.

I wanted to create a home decor piece that was usable, but carried a similarly appealing visual. Bringing some medieval design elements into the modern kitchen.
